6 yr old Irish Breeders Classic Final
Funded by the Breeding Grant Initiative under National Breeding Services with thanks to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and delivered by Horse Sport Ireland.
The Tom O’Dwyer Horsemanship Trophy will be judged and presented to the best produced and ridden horse as chosen between the 5 and 6 yr. old Grand Finals.

PRIZE FUND – €17,500 plus €2,500 Breeders’ Prize
The global entry fee per horse is €280, via SJI Live. This entry fee does NOT include stabling, please contact info@barnadownshowjumping.ie for stabling. Please enter both qualifying rounds at time of entry. Failure to do so will result in been unable to compete.
ONSITE STABLING IS NOT COMPULSORY.
Entries open the 17th August 2026 at 9am and close the 25th August 2026 at 2pm.
Closing time will be strictly adhere to.
Please enter the Two Qualifiers as all draws are done via sji.live.
Full entry fee is required at time of entry. €150 will be refunded should a horse be withdrawn.
Refunds will only be given up to the Start List drawn.
No substitutions of horses or riders are allowed.
All classes will be run as per SJI rules.
Horses must be registered with a studbook recognised by the Irish Department of Agriculture.
All horses must be born in Ireland and have documentation to prove so i.e. Dam, Sire and breeder must be documented in the passport. Breeders address must be in Ireland. Horses born in Ireland without documentation to prove this are ineligible.
PLEASE NOTE
The Sunday Final is strictly confined to the Top 20 Combinations. All Double Clears over the Two qualifying rounds will automatically qualify and the remaining will be based on a cumulative score of faults and time over the two qualifiers.
The remaining non qualified combinations will proceed to the 5 and 6 Y.O. Consolation.
In the event of a dispute video evidence will be viewed and allowed.
Qualifying rounds will run as two phase special.
A rider may ride an unlimited amount of horses in the qualifiers. For the Grand Final a rider may only ride a maximum of 2 horses.
The FINAL will consist of 1 round and a jump-off in the event of more than one clear round.
This class is open to riders of any nation.
Approximate fence height
6 y.o’s qualifiers = 1.20m. – 1.25m
6 y.o’s finals = 1.25m. – 1.30m

1st to 10th place – Share €17,500.00 and
11th to 20th place – Share €2,000.00 equally.
Some of the prize fund will be awarded in the form of equestrian supplies vouchers/product.
