About Irish Breeders Classic
The Irish Breeders Classic was founded in 2012 by Ronan Rothwell of Boleybawn Horses. His primary aims were to establish an event which would boost demand for horses bred by Irish breeders and to attract new investors to the sport. The result is a competition which has gained international recognition, with many past winners going on to have top international careers.

Supporting Irish Breeders Classic
Our sponsors and supporters are the lifeblood of Irish Breeders Classic and we would like to thank each and every one for their involvement over the years. Being an IBC sponsor means partnering with an event which promotes performance excellence, and who supports all those involved in making the Irish equine industry a success. We have a range of packages on offer and invite new and returning sponsors to be part of this high profile event for our 8th year.
Goresbridge Sale / Supreme Sale of Showjumpers
Each year the Goresbridge sale is an exciting partner to the Irish Breeders Classic competitions. 2% of the turnover of the foal sales goes into the Classic prize fund and each year brings the opportunity to purchase a future champion. In recent times new highs have been achieved with an average sale price of €11,500, a sale of €18,000 in 2018 and the highest sale to date was €22,000.
