The global entry fee per horse is €90, stable not compulsory and not included. The global entry fee includes 3 rounds over 3 days. 

Full entry fee is required at time of entry. €60 will be refunded should a horse be withdrawn.

Rules for 4 year old competition

All classes will be run as per SJI rules.

All horses will compete in 3 rounds over 3 days. Horses on the lowest score will divide the prize fund equally. Should more than 6 horses be on lowest equal faults they will be asked to compete in a fourth round on the final day.

The competition each day will consist of one round with a time allowed. Article 238.1.1 

Stabling on site is not compulsory

This class is open to riders of any nation and horses of any breed or country of birth.

Prize fund breakdown for 4 year olds

€3,400 which will be divided among all horses on equal lowest penalties.
A €300 bonus will be awarded to the horse on lowest penalties that is judged to have the most future potential. 
A €200 bonus will be awarded to the second horse on lowest penalties that is judged to have the most future potential. 
A €100 bonus will be awarded to the third horse on lowest penalties that is judged to have the most future potential.

The global entry fee per horse is €350, this includes stabling, 2 qualifying rounds and the relevant final.

Full entry fee is required at time of entry. €250 will be refunded should a horse be withdrawn.

No substitutions of horses are allowed.

Prize fund breakdown for 5 and 6 year olds

€33,000 Grand Final.

€3,000 Consolation Final. 

€3,000 distributed evenly between 11th – 20th place in the Grand Final.

€1,000 of the above prize fund will be awarded to the breeder of the winner of the final.

5% of the above fund will be allocated to the breeder of the top 10 placed horses in the Grand Final.

€5000 of the prize fund will be awarded in the form of equestrian supplies vouchers.

Rules for 5 and 6 year old competition

All classes will be run as per SJI rules.

Horses must be registered with a studbook recognised by the Irish Department of Agriculture.

All horses must be born in Ireland and have documentation to prove so i.e. Dam, Sire and breeder must be documented in passport. Breeders address must be in Ireland. Horses born in Ireland without documentation to prove this are ineligible.

All horses must remain on site for the entire duration of the show. Any horses leaving the show grounds without permission will be automatically eliminated. 

The top 25 horses or all double clears, after two qualifying rounds will proceed to the Grand Final with the remainder eligible for the Consolation Final.

Qualifying rounds will consist of one round with a time allowed. Article 238.1.1

In the event of equality of faults cumulative time and faults over 2 qualifying rounds will decide.

A rider may ride an unlimited amount of horses in the qualifiers but may only ride a maximum of 2 horses in each age category and 3 overall in the Grand Final. Only in this case may a rider be substituted to ride a qualified horse in the final.

Both finals will consist of 1 round and a jump off in the event of more than one clear round. Article 238.2.2

This class is open to riders of any nation.

5 % of the prize fund will be awarded to the breeder of all placed horses and €1,000 of the prize fund will be awarded to the breeder of the winner, kindly sponsored by Horse Sport Ireland.

Up to €5,000 of the prize fund may be presented in the form of vouchers for equestrian supplies. 

Approximate fence height:
5 y.o’s qualifiers = 1.15m. – 1.20m
5 y.o’s finals = 1.20m. – 1.25m.
6 y.o’s qualifiers = 1.20m. – 1.25m
6 y.o’s finals = 1.25m. – 1.30m.

Horses from any country of birth are eligible.

Horses do NOT need to be stabled on site.

The top 20 horses or all double clears, after two qualifying rounds will proceed to the Grand Final.
